The Media Relations & Equities Marketing Associate will assist in the development and execution of integrated marketing and media relations strategies to elevate the firm’s equities business. This role combines strategic marketing campaign execution with proactive media relations, aiming to increase client engagement, enhance brand visibility, and drive business results. The ideal candidate will be a creative, detail-oriented communicator with a strong background in corporate or financial services marketing and media relations.
Responsibilities Include But May Not Be Limited To
Media Relations
- Assist in leading proactive media relations efforts, including trend spotting, media list development, and pitching.
- Build and maintain relationships with key business and financial media contacts.
- Draft and review media materials such as press releases, alerts, talking points, and expert bios.
- Respond to inbound media inquiries and coordinate interviews with subject matter experts.
- Track and report media engagement metrics and support media training initiatives.
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Collaborate with equities business line teams to understand strategic goals, products, and client needs.
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns, including digital content, thought leadership, and event promotion.
- Coordinate and manage marketing projects using best practices and tools such as WRIKE.
- Partner with internal teams (content, design, digital, events, philanthropy) to deliver high-impact campaigns.
- Create and edit marketing materials including presentations, white papers, capability decks and equity research reports.
- Analyze campaign performance metrics and optimize strategies for effectiveness.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field required.
- 3-5 years of experience in a marketing/public relations/communications role, preferably agency side.
- Proven success in media relations with a strong portfolio of placements in business and finance media.
- Advanced project management skills and experience with tools like Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
- Expert written and verbal communication skills; confident in pitching and relationship-building.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- High attention to detail, creativity, and a results-oriented mindset.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgment, common sense, and resourcefulness.
- Ability to collaborate with and influence others across multiple functions.
- Highly organized, positive attitude, self-starter who is a strong team player.
- Adapts and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at time of posting is below. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Actual base salary within the specified range is based on several factors, including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, specific degrees and certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and, if applicable, the location of the position.
This role is eligible for either a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance) and/or commission-based incentives.

Salary Range
$80,000—$105,000 USD
