Job Description
Brown Advisory is currently seeking a professional and client-focused individual to fill a Strategic Advisor role based out of our Austin office location. Strategic Advisors are essential in Brown Advisory’s effort to provide holistic financial guidance to clients. They are professionals (typically, attorneys, accountants or financial planners) with expertise in various related planning topics, including tax planning, trust and estate planning, accounting, fiduciary matters, and business advisory. For affluent families with significant portfolios and complex financial circumstances, focusing exclusively on investment returns is simply not enough, and other difficult issues—taxes, estate planning, intergenerational wealth transfers, family businesses, family dynamics and philanthropic aspirations, among others—often matter as much or more for such families than portfolio returns. In addition, these issues require a thoughtful planning process that can take years or decades to come to fruition. That’s why Brown Advisory employs a “strategic advisory” approach for its clients that complements its investment management expertise.
