Benefits Analyst - Jefferies
Member of global payroll and benefits department (Corporate Human Resources) based in NY/NJ. Work closely with HRIS, payroll and HR Business Partners.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in administration of US health and welfare programs including health insurance, life insurance, accident insurance, short and long-term disability, leave, and worker’s compensation
- Assist in US wellness program for employees including organization of annual flu shots and numerous health and fitness programs offered throughout the year
- Assistance with day-to-day administration of the Benefits function
- First point of contact for general/ad hoc queries for the team. Managing multiple inboxes.
- Conduct New Hire Benefits Orientation
- Coordinates HRIS data entry including Qualifying Events, COBRA administration, Open Enrollment, etc.
- Respond to emails in shared Benefit mailbox and phone inquiries
- Prepares reports for management and ad hoc projects as needed
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation, Medicare, Social Security and DOL requirements
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud (HCM)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Windows applications
- Ability to work within a metrics-driven, transactional type environment
- Good oral and written communication
Experience Required:
- Minimum .5-2 years of experience in-house administration
- Minimum .5-2 years of experience in health plan administration
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field from accredited four-year university required
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $70,000 - $75,000.

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
