The Impact You Will Have In This Role
Being a member of the People Development team, the Talent Development Executive Director leads the team in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Leadership Development Practices, Programs and Trainings. The People Development function plays a universal role to help define and drive global talent practices and processes. We strategically focus on building capabilities needed to achieve the businesses strategic goals with an eye toward building future skills needed for business evolution and growth.
Your Primary Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, expertise, and guidance to ensure alignment of talent, learning and leadership development practices, programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with other Human Resources (HR) departments to ensure clients benefit from a broad view to talent development.
- Develop and lead People Development policies and procedures.
- Identify, recommend, lead, and implement strategies for improving efficiency of both standard and sophisticated Peopl Development processes.
- Apply talent development expertise to develop skills frameworks, assessments, and critical role identification.
- Develop and lead frameworks for talent strategy and workforce planning to include skill assessment, and business aligned development planning
- Partner with the business to gather, analyze and translate requirements and business concepts into strategic and engaging talent development recommendations.
- Mitigate risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
- Lead budgets for the People Development function
- Proactively serve as an internal and strategic consultant on PD services with a focus on developing future skills and capabilities.
- Supervise resource usage across projects or programs, identifying areas or alignment or duplication and look for ways to optimize efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of related HR experience, preferably in financial services
- Bachelor's degree preferred with Master's or equivalent experience

- Strong leadership communication skills
- Creates cases for talent development initiatives using economic, financial, and organizational data; balances requests from business units with the existing solutions which PD has available to minimize additional spend; when existing solutions are not available, provides proper researched solutions to business units.
- Demonstrates sophisticated knowledge and expertise in HR technical/ professional areas to design, implement and administer process, programmatic or system solutions; demonstrates knowledge to anticipate future HR technical/professional needs and gaps and leads problem- solving efforts in order to improve operations and performance; applies subject matter expertise to coach senior management on all strategies and decisions which require knowledge of the HR technical area.
- Develops and drives implementation of effective strategies for the organization.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
