Team Overview
The Investment Lifecycle Product team, part of KKR’s Technology organization, delivers digital solutions that empower the firm’s investment professionals. The team partners closely with the Private Equity deal teams to streamline investment workflows, enhance visibility, and ensure data integrity across the entire investment lifecycle—from sourcing and execution through to ongoing portfolio monitoring and exit. Collaboration spans Technology, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Legal, and Operations.
Position Summary
We are seeking a Product Manager to support KKR’s Private Equity platform with a focus on delivering best-in-class tools and capabilities for managing the end-to-end private equity deal lifecycle and portfolio oversight.
This individual will be responsible for identifying and implementing technology solutions that improve how deals are sourced, tracked, and executed, while also enhancing post-investment portfolio management, including performance tracking and strategic monitoring. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of private equity workflows, excellent product instincts, and experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Responsibilities - Product Strategy & Execution
- Define and drive the product roadmap that supports the full private equity investment lifecycle, including both deal execution and portfolio management.
- Prioritize initiatives that improve scalability, transparency, data quality, and user experience for investment teams.
- Deal Lifecycle Enablement
- Develop tools that support deal sourcing, diligence, approvals, investment committee preparation, and closing workflows.
- Improve visibility into pipeline activity, historical deal data, and key decision points throughout the deal process.
- Portfolio Management Support
- Build and manage solutions that enable tracking of portfolio company performance, governance events, and strategic milestones.
- Support the investment team in managing and monitoring post-close value creation plans, board interactions, and reporting obligations.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with Private Equity professionals to understand workflows, pain points, and emerging needs.
- Partner with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Engineering to deliver aligned, compliant, and high-quality solutions.
- Data & Reporting Infrastructure
- Define key metrics and collaborate with data teams to deliver dashboards and reports that support both deal-level and portfolio-level decision-making.
- Drive improvements in reporting consistency, investment analytics, and operational transparency.
- Change Management & Adoption
- Lead training, communications, and rollout strategies to ensure seamless adoption of new tools and workflows.
- Gather feedback from global users to inform continuous iteration and product evolution.
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or investment operations, preferably within private equity or institutional investing.
- Strong understanding of the private equity deal lifecycle, from sourcing to close, and portfolio management, from post-close oversight to exit.
- Proven ability to define and deliver scalable, data-driven solutions in partnership with technical and business teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical requirements and business priorities.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized, with a track record of managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Familiarity with tools for data visualization, reporting, and workflow management is a plus.
- Highly motivated, intellectually curious, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
This is the expected annual base salary range for this New York-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
Base Salary Range
$150,000—$190,000 USD
