Responsibilities
Sales Support & Client Engagement
- Partner with Head of Sales Management and Institutional Sales team to support fundraising efforts across multiple public and private credit strategies
- Assist with investor prospecting, engagement, pipeline tracking, and follow-up, as well as preparation and coordination of investor roadshows, conferences, and meetings
- Maintain investor lists, coordinate and track client meetings, follow-ups, and pipeline activity and own all data entry into the CRM system (DealCloud)
- Serve as key internal liaison across stakeholders of the firm to ensure timely delivery of materials and responses
- Attend routine internal & external meetings w/ key stakeholders to provide updates on sales-related activity
- Quarterback or assist in preparation of customized client presentations, RFPs/RFIs, DDQs, investor reporting materials, and pitchbooks
- Collaborate with firm leadership and broader BDIR team to improve standard processes (reporting, campaign tracking, road shows, etc.)
- Support ad hoc projects related to fundraising strategy, investor segmentation, and distribution operations
- Assist with administrative duties when needed
Product, IR & Market Intelligence
- Conduct competitor and market research to support business development and client targeting initiatives
- Assist with LP and consultant mapping / total addressable market ("TAM") tracker
- Manage consultant database reporting in tandem with IR team; proactively provide necessary updates (quarterly/annually)
- Maintain and update DealCloud with market research findings
- Monitor industry trends and macroeconomic data to assist the sales team with client messaging and positioning
- Surveillance of daily news feeds to help with prospecting new clients, mandates, RFPs, and keeping sales team apprised of any market themes and updates on their coverage regions/investors
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience required
- Preferred experience includes: investor relations or business development at a private equity or private credit investment firm; investment banking/capital markets/asset management role
- Advanced Microsoft Office (including Excel and PowerPoint) skills required
- CRM systems experience, e.g. Salesforce (prior experience with DealCloud a plus)
- Ability to quickly develop competency in manipulating various reporting platforms and systems to obtain usable LP data
- Self-Starter, with the ability to work well under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills and EQ
- Strong organizational skills and must be detail oriented
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
Salary Range
$100,000 - $125,000 base salary and bonus eligible
