Position Summary
Provide the Firm’s users with reliable and efficient communication solutions by managing all aspects of audio, visual, video conferencing, and multimedia systems. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, repairing, and replacing PCs; setting up and maintaining basic network interfaces across various devices; troubleshooting fundamental networking issues; and addressing any technical needs that arise on a daily basis to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Operate, support, and maintain a wide range of audio and visual equipment.
- Set up, configure, and troubleshoot Zoom Rooms, Poly video conferencing hardware, and Shure microphone systems.
- Support and maintain video conferencing and installed audio-conferencing hardware.
- Manage and troubleshoot PCs and laptops within a LAN environment, ensuring reliable connectivity and performance.
- Perform basic TCP/IP network configuration and resolve networking issues as they arise.
- Identify and address areas requiring maintenance, repair, or cleaning of AV and IT equipment.
- Learn and adapt to new equipment, devices, and technologies with minimal formal training.
- Provide outstanding customer service and technical support to Firm users.
- Lift or move equipment as needed, and travel or work overtime when required.
- Occasionally travel to Redwood City for on-site support.
Qualifications/Position Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating and maintaining audio/visual systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of nonlinear audio and video editing software; proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is a plus.
- Familiarity with Dante and AV over IP systems; Dante and CTS certifications are advantageous.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and basic TCP/IP configurations.
- Analytical thinker with excellent communication, organizational, and scheduling skills.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal skills and patience when working with colleagues and end users.
- Sophisticated design sense and attention to detail in maintaining a high-quality AV environment.
Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience with a strong focus on audio/visual (AV) technology and PC/network support within a medium to large corporate environment.
Compensation
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 - $110,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, anticipated assignment, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
