About The Role
The Advisory Trading Analyst provides critical operational and analytical support to the systems and processes driving Baird’s advisory business. An Analyst serves as a subject matter resource for Financial Advisors, Client Specialists, and internal partners, delivering high-quality assistance on advisory-related trading platforms, workflows, and procedures. In this role, the Analyst will assist with managing day-to-day trading operations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to firm policies. The position requires strong technical and analytical skills to interpret data, identify opportunities for process improvement, and maintain integrity across systems and reporting. The Analyst will help document processes, perform testing related to platform enhancements, and support the implementation of best practices and process improvements.
This position offers flexibility to work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the Milwaukee office and Friday remote.
The Impact You’ll Make
- Provide high-value support and client service to Financial Advisors and clients on complex advisory trading related matters while promoting Baird’s culture.
- Serve as process and/or platform owner with end-to-end responsibility for branch and client experience; demonstrate deep expertise.
- Maintain strong knowledge of financial markets, products, regulations, and systems to achieve business goals.
- Lead and implement process improvements, tracking progress and resolving challenges.
- Understanding of regulatory and industry changes and related impact on teams and clients.
- Support vendor relationships, including escalations, enhancement identification, and release testing.
- Foster teamwork through collaboration, mentoring, and associate development.
- Lead or contribute to defining and documenting future-state processes.
- Manage projects, including requirements, testing, and communications.
- Participate in industry groups to influence decisions and build relationships.
- Develop data integrity monitoring methods and insights on efficiency and opportunities.
- Balance competing priorities independently based on business needs.
What You’ll Bring To Baird
- A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience within the financial services industry are advantageous.
- Series 7 license expected within nine months of hire.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with SQL and PowerBI are preferred.
- Experience with broker/dealer systems such as BetaNXT, Thomson ONE, IntelliPro, etc., is desirable.
- Demonstrated advanced analytical abilities and complex problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational capabilities, with proven aptitude for prioritizing and managing multiple tasks under stringent deadlines.
