We operate a hybrid working model, with a requirement that this Transaction Operations Analyst be in the office 3 days per week. The Team/Position Overview
Trade Operations Subject Matter Experts within the trade operations team to support the Manager of the team in delivery of the team’s responsibilities. Ensure that equity, fixed income, cash, FX, Repo and Unit Trust trades are confirmed on a timely basis, settlement instructions are sent accurately & timely, and settlement issues or fails are pro-actively dealt with and resolved. Additionally, handle the investigation and resolution of any interest claims that may arise.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate, timely, compliant and cost-effective trade, cash and derivative processing services.
- Ensure processes and procedures are in place to:
- Achieve timely confirmation of trades across equity, fixed income, cash, FX, Repo and Unit Trust trades and ensure timely issuance of settlement instructions and cash payments/receipts.
- Identify, record, investigate and resolve trades failing to achieve market settlement by contractual settlement date.
- Monitor trade affirmations to ensure they are completed within stated time frame.
- Timely update of cash flows, fees/expenses, trade related FXs and externally managed cash and security movements such as STIF movements, as well as instructing cash movements at custody.
- Responsible for loading CFD, OTC Options, Credit Default Swaps, Interest Rate Swaps, Total Return Swaps and Inflation Linked Swaps trades and checking against recaps on trade date.
- Perform function in line with established business controls.
- Provide administrative, transactional based support to others involved in the task of fund / portfolio management.
- Support external client queries and ensure that they are investigated and responded to within agreed timelines.
- Contribute independently to department and Company initiatives and projects.
- Escalate potential problems before they become a risk.
- Meet the needs of our business partners and internal clients.
- Meet all deadlines and ensure procedures and controls are fully implemented.
Skills And Behaviors Required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Typically, would require 1-2 years’ experience gained in a Trade Management function within a Financial Services Operational team supporting equity, fixed income, cash, FX and Unit Trust asset classes.
- Good operational knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards.
- Strong understanding of operational risks and control frameworks.
- Wider experience in Asset Management and understanding of the end-to-end asset lifecycle.
- Good at analyzing and solving problems with a strong handle on operational risk.
- Effective in managing your own time with ability to prioritize tasks and delegate appropriately.
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- A strong team player able to develop strong working relationships with global internal departments and external counterparties.
- Able to adapt to changes quickly.
