Get to Know the Opportunity
The Private Credit Portfolio Data Analyst is responsible for assisting in the support of production, marketing and communication of product and investment content used by external client portfolio managers as well as internal and external partners. This position is also responsible for data management activities supporting both the Private Credit portfolio management and Private Credit investment analyst teams.
The Contributions You Will Make
- Performing as a core part of IM’s Private Credit Portfolio Management and Investment team, the data analyst will be responsible for data and data projects to support both internal and external clients.
- Supporting client portfolio management responsibilities, including preparing materials to support making investment decisions on behalf of external clients following stated investment guidelines, helping with data to maintain client portfolios, helping track and ensure portfolios remain in compliance, and other data tracking regarding on-going production and investment results.
- Responsible for onboarding new client relationships across the team’s proprietary portfolio management systems.
- Supporting data analysis for internal and external clients regarding capital market analysis, individual portfolio holding updates, and portfolio performance.
- Contributing to quarterly client portfolio review meetings by reviewing and ensuring that data in presentations is correct and providing additional customized responses and answers in timely fashion for any ad-hoc client requests.
- Assist the Senior Private Credit Client Portfolio Managers in gathering and analyzing product and capital markets data, assembling support materials including commentaries, presentation books and various marketing and communication pieces.
- Assist Institutional Insurance Solutions Sales team in curating customized report requests and pitch books for potential client mandates.
- Partnering with marketing and communications to assist in a high-quality investment product and client content creation and distribution.
- Ongoing project coordination and communications regarding data with all parts of the organization including portfolio management, marketing and communications, operations, and IT, legal and compliance and IM’s institutional distribution teams.
- Assist the dedicated Private & Alternative CPMs with internal and external client inquiries including customized reports, ad-hoc client requests, and RFPs with strict deadlines.
- Support PM team with client allocations.
- Responsible for trade entry on new primary and secondary transactions and on on-going trade update needs for delayed draws, loans, or revolvers.
- Responsible for the data support needed for our secondary trades, including tracking and necessary research to support trades.
- Lead the data review process semi-annual to review security master information, including sectors, pricing methods, etc.
- Liaison with analysts and provide ongoing support to lead processes to review monthly rating changes, capital watchlist changes, and credit watchlist changes.
- Engage with team to support the NAIC rating checks and filing support on an on-going basis as required by the SVO for our insurance clients.
- Assist analyst team with engaging with required wire instruction changes, wire tracking, and missed payments.
- Responsible for understanding, communicating, and ensuring that capital calls are properly recorded and tracked on an on-going basis.
- Primary person for business continuity technological tests that occur a few times a year.
- Assist with on-going technological advances to our proprietary research platform by testing out functionality.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 3-5 years minimum financial data experience, preferably in asset management, accounting, audit, or capital markets. Strong fixed income knowledge required and fixed income experience a plus. Expect pursuit of CFA Investment Foundations designation.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills with a passion for fixed income investing and attention to detail.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to analyze, organize and visualize data to support Voya’s fixed income strategies. Deep knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint required, and experience with WebFocus or programing a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to engage with many individuals throughout the organization.
- Career interest as a data analyst in investment management with good comfort interfacing with internal and/or external clients. Background in CPA or CFA preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a high-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Creative problem-solving skills to improve and automate reporting and processes.
- Exemplary organizational skills, ensuring Senior PMs are well prepared for client portfolio review meetings and timeliness of client deliverables and that Analyst team is fully supported for on-going data needs.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
