We are looking for an Investment Trade Operations analyst to join our team within our Corporate Actions group. This person will work closely with the Analyst and Vice President Corporate Actions team lead to help facilitate all daily responsibilities. They will ensure custodial communications and investment trading activity for all corporate actions are recorded and processed in the accounting system in a timely and accurate manner. They will also work on updated workflows to ensure compliance with the control environment. Partner with others to carry out procedures, resolve errors, and perform assigned tasks.
Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, validate, and normalize information received for corporate actions from external vendors and custodians ensuring that all entitlements are verified and processed into the accounting and trading systems in a timely and accurate manner
- Distribute voluntary actions to portfolio managers and monitor through execution
- Monitor corporate actions executed by portfolio managers and communicate with custodians to ensure actions are completed
- Research problems to identify and proactively correct solutions
- Interpret financial news to source documents
- Work with custodians and accountants to ensure proper reporting
- Responsible for building relations with vendors to receive optimal service and information to process actions
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
- Knowledge of Investments and/or Investment Accounting a plus
- Able to meet time sensitive deliverables
- Ability to work under strict time constraints and prioritize workload
- Client services orientated and ability to meet customers' needs
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written form and orally
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Meet daily operational timelines
- Ability to foster understanding of other operational group functions to better facilitate resolution of internal and external requests
- Detail Oriented
Preferred (Not Required)
- Working knowledge of Crystal, Simcorp, GAIN, SQL, and Bloomberg
- Comprehension of Corporate Actions and accounting for Corporate Actions
- Understanding of Investment Operations and various functions
