As a member of our product support team, you will speak directly with our clients and use your critical thinking and communication skills to address their business. Through these interactions, you will help lead the development of our next-generation fixed-income and front-to-risk software packages through collaboration with our quantitative development team and product managers. You will also work with our business development team to drive the sales process with your accumulated product knowledge.
We are looking for self-motivated, analytical, personable, entrepreneurial, and methodical individuals to join our Client Support team. The complexity of our software provides an interesting and challenging opportunity to help raise the quality of our product to a new level. The position also provides an excellent opportunity to leverage your industry knowledge and experience in the fixed income domain to solve complex and dynamic analytical and technological problems raised by market participants.
In addition to relevant industry experience, potential candidates should possess strong mathematical and quantitative reasoning skills, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of finance is a plus but not required.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide product support for technical and analytical questions via phone, e-mail, and VoIP channels.
- Manage delivery and upgrade of software to existing clients.
- Actively work with pre-sales and professional services teams to support our global go-to-market strategy and serve as a subject matter expert both internally and across our growing client base.
- Act as a critical liaison between developers and clients as a business analyst to analyze product gaps, expand program functionality, and assist in prioritizing business requirements.
- Serve as a key point of contact for customer success, liaising as a primary point of contact and subject matter expert across client organizations, both through virtual and in-person touchpoints.
What We’re Looking For:
- Any of the following:
- MS in a quantitative discipline such as finance, physical sciences, or economics
- 4+ years of experience using trading and risk management software platforms in front office, risk management, or financial technology at a firm with activity in the mortgage or mortgage servicing space
- 2+ years of experience in a front office, risk, or technology role at a firm directly using PolyPaths
- 2+ years of experience in a balance sheet accounting role at a bank or similar firm with active use of industry standard financial accounting software
- Analytical experience using a data-driven approach to solve problems and create customer insight.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with cross-functional or interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience navigating complex cross-functional landscapes in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
- Strong computer skills including experience with Windows and experience with Microsoft Office suite applications including automation through Microsoft Excel.
- An eagerness to learn with a strong independent drive for researching and synthesizing complex concepts.
Extra Credit:
- Development experience using scripting languages such as Python or Visual Basic for Applications, with the ability to write short self-contained scripts and maintain legacy scripts (3k-5k lines).
- Experience with any of the following software packages: Bloomberg Terminal, Intex, Moody’s Analytics, Calypso, QRM, YieldBook, RiskSpan.
- Experience with behaviorally-driven mortgage prepayment models.
- Proficiency with Linux, SQL and database architecture.
- Experience with Cloud computing including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CPA, CFA, or FRM.
Where You’ll Work:
This is a hybrid role that includes work from home and 3 days per week in the NYC Office - 100 Park Avenue, New York.
