Overview
Investment Operations oversees all post-trade functions, including settlements, cash management, reconciliations, transfers, corporate actions, collateral management, and life-cycle event management.
L&G America seeks a Middle Office Operations Analyst specializing in Trade Settlement Support to provide operational expertise across multiple platforms (SWIFT, CRIMS, DTCC CTM, and Alert) supporting the Index Trading Desk.
Responsibilities
- Oversee trade workflow for a range of products including domestic and international (including emerging markets) equity, FX, fixed income, and derivative products
- Provide daily support for L&G investment accounts by processing subscriptions/redemptions, identifying transaction cost associated, run reports and distribute statements to accurately reflect capital activity.
- Contribute to on-going process improvement initiatives to add further control and organization around the trade life-cycle.
- Cross-train across Middle Office Operations functions that align with Global Support Model.
- Participate in enhancements and discussions with London office to ensure all process improvements are globally aligned and documented.
- Work with custodian banks and brokers to resolve escalated issues impacting L&G clients.
- Maintain and create procedures for all tasks. Ensure daily sign off of all tasks assigned.
- Provide periodic metrics and control summaries for management review.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience with settlement related activity and trade life-cycle in global markets.
- Strong communication to be able to articulate issues clearly, either verbally or written, across all levels
- Experience in trade support, risk management, or operations within an asset management environment.
- Knowledge of investment guidelines and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, analytical skills.
- Able to prioritize workload and deal with tight deadlines
- Leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk
Salary Range
$80,000 - $90,000
The starting salary offer will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s education, job-related experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location, and market factors. This position is also eligible to participate in the company’s annual discretionary bonus plan.
