DESCRIPTION
The person will participate at various levels in all technology related initiatives from inception to implementation and support. Through in-depth knowledge of the business, this position will document business processes, develop needs analysis, document functional & technical specifications, perform system & user acceptance testing, and effectively communicate specific financial concepts to development and testing staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide ongoing evaluations of technology solutions and capabilities to ensure alignment with business objectives. Identify areas of risk, while monitoring the current environment, potential improvement areas, and the financial implications of those decisions
Gather, validate, document, and facilitate implementation of business requirements for technology initiatives (includes business/data requirements, data flows, data modeling, workflow context and design, and user interface designs)
Lead and support user acceptance testing, system training, and related documentation.
Drive project leadership and uphold reporting and documentation standards.
Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across business and technical functions.
Balance production support responsibilities with ongoing project deliverables.
Develop clear, comprehensive documentation to support both business and technology requests.
Act as liaison between business users and development resources to facilitate large and small-scale changes and complex problem solving
TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE:
· In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in supporting & implementing enterprise applications.
Proficiency in Tableau or Power BI for reporting and analytics (required).
SQL experience required. Snowflake and DBT experience preferred.
Experience designing, prototyping, testing, and training users in an agile development environment.
Familiarity with financial systems and terminology.
· Understanding of technology architectures and concepts, including cloud computing, relational databases, data modeling, and system integration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Finance or Business.
5+ years of relevant experience; prior consulting experience preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse, knowledgeable user base and deliver high-quality technology solutions.
· Strong problem-solving skills, ability to analyze complex data and present actionable insights.
· Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
· Experience in investment management, private equity, venture capital, alternatives investment is a plus.
