Director, Transfer Agency Operations (Americas)
The Role & Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and executive oversight for the end-to-end Transfer Agency function, encompassing investor onboarding, trade processing, settlements, reconciliations, client servicing, regulatory compliance (AML/KYC), reporting and operational risk management.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for key clients, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders. Lead client relationship management, ensuring proactive communication, issue resolution, and delivery of value-added solutions.
- Define and execute the regional strategy for Transfer Agency operations in alignment with global business goals.
- Foster, collaborate and engage with offshore leaders to generate quality, accurate and timely client deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with Relationship Management, Compliance, Legal, Product, Technology and Fund Accounting teams.
- Drive process optimization, automation, and transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of Transfer Agency operations.
- Develop and manage the department’s budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost efficiency while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure exceptional client delivery.
- Oversee talent development, succession planning, and workforce engagement across multiple locations.
- Sponsor, direct and support major change initiatives, including technology upgrades, regulatory change programs, and new business integration. Ensure effective project governance, resource allocation, and stakeholder alignment.
- Represent the region in cross-functional forums and steering committees.
- Maintain strong operational risk management frameworks, escalate issues appropriately, and promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and risk awareness.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in building, mentoring and managing large operational teams across multiple jurisdictions.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record (10+ years) in Transfer Agency or related financial services operations, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership or director-level role overseeing large, multi-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Deep understanding of global regulatory frameworks (AML/KYC, FATCA/CRS, US tax forms, etc.) and jurisdictional requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in client management, handling escalations, and managing complex, cross-functional projects.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills with a focus on strategic outcomes.

Salary ranges from USD $ 210,000 - $ 240,000 additional market competitive variable uncapped compensation based on performance. Compensation within this range is dependent on individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
