Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Derivatives Pricing & Securities team. This role is ideal for candidates with strong valuation and analytical skills who can apply their expertise across a broad range of investment products, primarily derivatives, while leveraging light technical capabilities to drive efficiency.
The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating valuations of various financial instruments, investigating pricing discrepancies across multiple sources, and supporting data integrity and control processes. This position requires a solid understanding of financial instruments and valuation assumptions, combined with the ability to learn and apply basic automation tools (such as SQL and VBA) to streamline workflows.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform valuation reviews for securities and derivatives, ensuring compliance with internal policies and market standards.
- Investigate pricing variances by modeling trades and analyzing valuation assumptions across multiple sources.
- Collaborate with the data management team to maintain integrity and accuracy of pricing data.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of pricing methodologies to reflect market conditions and regulatory changes.
- Assist in developing and maintaining control processes, including procedures, checklists, and training documentation.
- Deliver nightly pricing files to stakeholders (generally 6:00 to 6:30pm) and provide support for ad-hoc projects related to pricing and valuation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in securities pricing, derivatives valuation, or a related area.
- Strong understanding of derivatives products, valuation assumptions, market conventions and trade booking.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to model trades and reconcile pricing discrepancies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; exposure to SQL and VBA preferred (willingness to learn is essential).
- Professional certifications such as CFA or FRM (or progress toward them).
- Experience with Bloomberg, Aladdin, or similar financial systems.
Base Salary: $80K - $125,000 (Based on Experience Level), plus additional incentive compensation programs
