We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Portfolio Manager to join our team, focusing on asset allocation, multi-asset strategy development, and risk-oriented portfolio construction. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of global financial markets, sophisticated portfolio construction methods, and a proven track record in managing portfolios.
We’ll trust you to:
- Asset Allocation: Help to develop, implement, and manage strategic and tactical asset allocation models that align with client goals and risk tolerances. Continuously analyze macroeconomic and market data to adjust allocation strategies accordingly.
- Risk Management: Establish and monitor risk management processes to mitigate potential losses. Employ quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess risk-adjusted returns and maintain portfolio resilience against market volatility.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate with sales partners and clients to understand client objectives, present investment solutions, and articulate performance outcomes.
- Research and Market Insights: Stay abreast of economic trends, regulatory changes, and emerging investment opportunities. Leverage data and research to inform investment strategies and decision-making processes.
- Team Collaboration: Work with investment professionals across the firm to share insights and leverage collective expertise to enhance portfolio construction and management practices.
You'll need to have:
- Demonstrated experience investing with emphasis on asset allocation and quantitative portfolio construction
- Highly dynamic EQ/IQ and ability to shift gears and perspective; you can think like an investor, an entrepreneur, a salesperson, or a quant depending on the situation
- CFA, FRM, MBA preferred
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in portfolio management, with a focus on asset allocation and multi-asset strategies.
- Extensive experience with portfolio construction methods and optimizers.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in analyzing investment strategies and performance and risk assessment.
- In-depth knowledge of global financial markets, investment products, asset classes, financial instruments, derivatives, hedges, etc.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to understand complex ideas and articulate them in a simple yet compelling manner and adjust approach depending on your audience
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Bloomberg
- Programming skills (R/Python/SQL) a strong plus

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $200,000–$250,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
