Job Purpose
The IT Associate will support daily operations and project initiatives, administer core tools, coordinate disaster recovery testing, maintain documentation, remediate vulnerabilities, and manage onboarding and asset tracking. This role serves as an internal escalation point for Office 365 and internal applications, working closely with the IT Operations Lead.
Essential Skills
Desired Skills and experience
- 3–5+ years in IT operations, service desk escalation, or systems administration.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 / Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Proficiency in SharePoint/OneDrive administration.
- Experience managing vendor support tickets.
- Comfortable executing change plans and supporting off-hours maintenance.
- Basic scripting/automation (PowerShell preferred).
- Strong documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Good to have:
- Experience in capital markets or trading environments (Flextrade, Cloud9).
- Familiarity with data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks).
- Hands-on experience with AWS
- Understanding of AWS S3 policies and cross-account access.
- Programming knowledge: R, SQL, Python.
- DR/BCP planning and execution.
- ITSM/ticketing practices (ITIL Foundation or equivalent).
- Certifications: MS-102, MD-102, AZ-104, CompTIA Security+.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with implementations, migrations, and project tasks.
- Act as internal escalation resource for O365 support
- Support initiatives including SharePoint deployments, intranet development, Starlink, office buildouts, and vendor integrations.
- Manage and delegate tasks to our MSP (Atlas Technica).
- Provide support and training for internal tools: SharePoint, MobileTools, Excel Add-in, AI tools, POMO/Databases, Cloud9.
- Manage access for offshore development staff (Acuity).
- Coordinate and execute DR/BCP tests with employees and vendors.
- Ensure disaster recovery policy and runbooks are tested and enforced.
- Create and maintain both employee-facing and internal documentation for IT infrastructure and initiatives, regularly.
- Remediate cyber security vulnerabilities identified by vendors.
- Support vendor due diligence and implement security controls as directed.
- Oversee onboarding from technology perspective and coordinating across departments.
- Coordinate off-hours support for planned upgrades.
- Manage licenses and certificates (e.g., Bloomberg DLWS).
- Oversee access governance for platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Flextrade, Cloud9).
- Handle AWS/S3 cross-account access and secure data workflows.
- Support office buildouts and facilities tech coordination.
- Support governance for AI and enterprise platforms (e.g., Copilot).
