We are seeking a highly motivated Counterparty Credit Analyst to join our Treasury team. Responsibilities include combining fundamental counterparty creditworthiness analysis with counterparty-specific data analysis, including enhancing reporting capabilities through sorting, structuring and visualizing data from multiple sources or internal and third-party data. The role requires strong technical and analytical skills, a solid foundation in credit analysis, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Counterparty Credit Analysis
- Conduct credit reviews and ongoing monitoring of global financial institutions, including banks and broker-dealers.
- Perform in-depth financial analysis of counterparties to assess creditworthiness and recommend appropriate risk limits as needed.
- Monitor and review existing counterparty exposures, identify emerging risks, and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Prepare and present credit memos and risk assessments to senior management and relevant committees.
- Communicate findings and recommendations internally with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Participate in external due diligence meetings with counterparties.
Reporting & Analytics
- Design, build, and enhance reporting tools and dashboards to deliver actionable insights on counterparty exposures and credit risk metrics.
- Automate and streamline reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure data integrity and optimize reporting infrastructure.
Process Improvement & Initiatives
- Identify and implement process improvements and best practices throughout the credit analysis and reporting workflow.
- Lead or participate in projects focused on enhancing credit risk management capabilities and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in counterparty credit analysis, credit risk, or a similar analytical role within financial services
- Strong understanding of financial statements, credit risk concepts, and counterparty risk frameworks.
- Python, SQL and VBA required
- Experience with BI Tools like
- Tableau, PowerBI or similar required
