Job Description
We are hiring a Director of Pricing and Strategy at the Datasite Group. Joining the product marketing team, you’ll operationalize, scale, and develop the next generation of Datasite revenue models for existing and future products. This is a hands-on role impacting some of our most strategic initiatives across pricing and packaging, go-to-market, competitive offerings, and customer lifetime value.
We are looking for candidates with a track record of success leading pricing, packaging, market analysis, and deep experience with SaaS pricing methodology. You need to demonstrate an ability to deliver different projects across various subscription models, enterprise sales, and product led growth. Strong analytical foundation, A/B testing, communication skills, and project management discipline will be the trademarks of success for this role.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leaders in our sales, marketing, and product organizations to craft new business models, define monetization strategies for new offerings, and optimize pricing and packaging for existing products
- Deliver pricing recommendations that follow a logically reasoned, data-driven approach, supported by appropriate market research and competitive analysis
- Define and implement pricing programs to drive customer adoption and expand routes to market
- Define and evaluate key business metrics to track pricing performance and enable continuous improvements
- Manage and own product A/B testing engagements
- Partner with key stakeholders in marketing, operations, and product to drive the A/B Testing process.
- Develop and drive pricing and packaging strategy across product and service lines (existing and new GTM)
- Engage cross-functional leaders in the development and socialization of new pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure buy-in and successful implementation
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and margin from existing products and services through new pricing and packaging strategies
- Apply statistical analysis methods (incl. regression) to guide product packaging, pricing and sales GTM decisions
Qualifications
- Experience with pricing/operations and working with and supporting B2B enterprise sales organizations – direct and online
- Professional experience in financial modeling, data analysis, and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making
- Exceptionally strong communication and interpersonal skills, including experience effectively communicating with executives, product management, sales, marketing, clients and prospects
- Ability to juggle, prioritize and meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
- Self-motivated with ability and desire to take ownership of projects and move processes forward
- Personal interest in technology and all things Big Data
- Personal experience running significant numbers of A/B tests, packaging and pricing scenarios and revenue model
- Experienced at defining price points at introduction, growth and maturity stage including bundling, unbundling and options scenarios
- Experience in A/B testing and surveying tools such as: Adobe Target, Optimizely, SiteSpect, Monetate, Visual Website Optimizer.
- Bonus points for previous team leadership.
Education And Experience
- 4 year degree required. An MBA a plus
- 8+ years experience in pricing and go to market approaches (backgrounds in consulting, finance, sales or marketing)
- Membership or participation in a pricing organization and active member in the pricing community
- Leadership experience and experience working with sales and/or product organizations a plus
Work Location & Flexibility
This position is based in our
New York City or Minneapolis office and follows a hybrid work model. Employees in these locations are expected to work
on-site a minimum of two days per week. Please note that
specific business units or role requirements may necessitate additional in-office days based on team collaboration needs or operational priorities.
The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position based on a good faith assessment of the role and market data at the time of posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate’s compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position. This position may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or overtime if applicable. Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), a retirement savings plan, paid time off, and other employee benefits. Specific details will be provided during the interview process. Datasite reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
$170,000.00 - $297,200.00
