As a
Corporate Relationship Manager on the
Corporate Access Team, you will partner closely with public company leadership teams to become a trusted resource in helping companies access and better understand their shareholder base. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and a consistent commitment to client service, along with a genuine interest in understanding corporate strategy and investor engagement.
The Impact You’ll Make
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate leadership teams, including CEOs, CFOs, and Investor Relations professionals, through regular in-person meetings, calls, and written correspondence
- Serve as a strategic partner to corporates, advising on investor targeting, shareholder composition, and ownership trends
- Collaborate closely with Baird’s Senior Research Analysts and teams to align corporate access and investor relations strategies for covered companies. Baird equity research covers approximately 700+ public companies across multiple sectors
- Proactively identify and develop new relationships with relevant non-covered companies, gaining a deep understanding of their investor relations strategy and corporate access needs
- Partner with Baird’s sales teams to assess investor interest and construct targeted investor schedules for corporate access events, i.e. Non-deal roadshows, conferences, HQ visits, webcasts, etc.
- Deliver a seamless, high-quality execution experience for all corporate access activities, managing logistics and communications end-to-end across a high volume of internal and external stakeholders
- Develop a strong working knowledge of covered companies and sectors, identifying trends and insights related to investor marketing activity and engagement across the industry
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in internal databases to support communication, reporting, and business continuity
- Contribute positively to the team’s collaborative, inclusive culture, both in-person and virtually
- Travel domestically to meet with corporate clients a few times a year
What You’ll Bring To Baird
- Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or Communications preferred
- 2–5+ years of relevant experience with a strong interest in financial markets and the investment management industry
- SIE, Series 7, 63, and/or 66 licensing expected with first 2 years
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships, including developing new, organic business connections
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and influence stakeholders with professionalism
- Strong client-service orientation, both internally and externally
- Ability to problem-solve, manage competing priorities, and perform accurately under tight deadlines and peak workloads
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and follow-through skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
