We are seeking a mid‑tier, experienced Market Data & Vendor Management Analyst to support Lazard’s Operations team in market data acquisition and procurement, vendor oversight, licensing management, and operational data processes. The ideal candidate brings at least three-five years of industry experience, strong familiarity with leading data providers, security master, benchmark and general market data, as well as the ability to leverage AI‑based tools to streamline workflows and analysis. This role partners with investment, operations, compliance, and technology teams to ensure accurate data access, cost‑effective procurement, and sound vendor governance.
We’ll trust you to:
- Have day‑to‑day oversight of market data and research service vendors, including SLAs, enablement, performance monitoring, entitlements, renewals, audits, and invoice review.
- Support the acquisition and procurement of market data products and research services, including scoping needs, coordinating evaluations, comparing vendor offerings, and supporting negotiations.
- Oversee data licensing terms and usage rights, including hands‑on experience with 3rd party platform licensing and entitlement management.
- Maintain and enhance security master data quality across instrument types (equities, fixed income, derivatives, structured products, etc.).
- Manage relationships and product assessments across Bloomberg, FactSet, LSEG/Refinitiv, MSCI, Charles River/State Street, and other index, pricing, and reference‑data and service providers.
- Collaborate with Technology on feed integration, data ingestion, entitlement workflows, light troubleshooting as well as holding vendors accountable
- Assist with instrument setup and related reference‑data processes.
- Contribute to vendor reviews, procurement planning, cost‑management strategies, and ongoing optimization of inventories and subscriptions.
- Support automation and efficiency initiatives, including responsible use and development of AI‑powered tools for summarization, documentation, workflow efficiency, and data processing.
- Maintain documentation on data sources, licensing restrictions, cost allocations, and vendor coverage.
You’ll need to have:
- 3-5 years of experience in market data, vendor management, procurement, or data operations within an asset management or investment‑related organization.
- Strong knowledge of Bloomberg data licensing, entitlements, and product sets.
- Familiarity with major service providers: FactSet, LSEG/Refinitiv, MSCI, and Charles River/State Street.
- Demonstrated experience in acquiring and evaluating market data and research services, including cost/benefit assessments.
- Solid understanding of the asset management industry, security master data structures and requirements, and coverage across a broad spectrum of traded instruments.
- Basic technical aptitude (SQL, Excel, APIs, data formats, or integration concepts).
- Experience with using AI‑powered tools to support operational efficiency.
- Strong communication, vendor‑facing, and cross‑team collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workflows, maintain documentation, and support structured procurement processes.
- Experience with data governance programs, entitlement systems, vendor audits, and cost‑optimization initiatives.
- Exposure to portfolio management or analytics platforms (Bloomberg, FactSet, Charles River, etc).
- Background in procurement processes, data coordination, access and integration, and vendor selection product offering frameworks.

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $80,000-100,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
