Job Summary
The Director of Commercialization & Go-to-Market (GTM) Enablement is a senior, hands-on leader responsible for ensuring Thornburg’s priority products are clearly positioned, market-ready, and sales-ready – fast.
Sitting at the intersection of Distribution and Marketing, this role translates investment expertise into clear GTM narratives, shapes how products are activated by audience and channel, and ensures coordinated execution across campaigns, digital, and sales enablement.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Own GTM readiness for priority products, ensuring clear positioning, differentiation, and internal alignment before market activation.
- Set the GTM narrative and messaging hierarchy that flows consistently across marketing, digital, and sales enablement.
- Drive cross functional alignment across Investments, Distribution, Marketing, and Digital to ensure coordinated execution.
- Partner closely with Distribution to ensure GTM efforts support real client conversations and commercial priorities.
- Guide digital activation at a strategic level, aligning audience focus, intent, and measurement with GTM goals.
- Support prioritization and execution discipline across products and initiatives to focus effort where it matters most.
- Product commercialization strategy and GTM readiness for priority products.
- Clear messaging hierarchies and launch narratives that scale across channels.
- Digital activation direction for priority products (audience focus, campaign intent, success metrics) in partnership with Digital Engagement.
- Cross functional GTM briefs and coordination tightly aligned with Distribution priorities.
How You'll Succeed:
- Translate complex investment strategies into clear, differentiated go-to-market stories that resonate with clients and enable effective distribution conversations.
- Lead through influence, aligning stakeholders across Distribution, Marketing, and Digital around shared GTM priorities and execution.
- Develop disciplined, audience-led messaging frameworks tailored by client segment and channel, ensuring consistency from launch narrative to sales enablement.
- Partner closely with Distribution to ensure products are positioned and activated in ways that reflect how they are actually sold and discussed with clients.
- Apply strong editorial judgment to maintain a high bar for clarity, relevance, and simplicity when communicating sophisticated investment concepts.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in asset management marketing, product commercialization, GTM, or distribution enablement.
- Strong understanding of investment products, markets, and distribution channels.
- Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels.
- Proven ability to translate complex investment ideas into clear, client ready narratives.
