Reporting to the Head of Business Process Optimization, the
Director, Operational Excellence is responsible for partnering with business teams to increase automation across the organization. In this role, you will engage in and lead process studies to identify re-engineering, optimization, and automation opportunities.
This is a hybrid work environment opportunity located in Boston, Massachusetts with a weekly in-office schedule of Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and remote work availability on Mondays and Fridays.
Responsibilities:
The Director, Operational Excellence will partner with employees across the organization to conceptualize and build automation solutions with a focus on reducing operational risk and increasing scale and efficiency. The candidate should have direct experience in modernizing business processes using technology, data analytics and process automation. This role will work closely with business partners to assess current state processes and build out quick to market technology solutions.
Skills You Bring:
- 10 years+ of financial services industry experience with a BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology preferred
- Proven ability to think strategically, analyze business challenges, and align long-term vision, in developing strategic technical solutions
- Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to successfully present to all levels of the organization
- Conducts external research to understand industry trends on automation or technology advancements
- Works closely with business stakeholders to implement automation recommendations
- Team player with the ability to work across teams and breaks down silos as needed
- Shares knowledge and communicates openly about areas of opportunity
- Ability to scope, size and oversee complex projects, delivering meaningful business results
- Proven experience in leading automation initiatives to deliver value using agile and traditional methodologies
- Comfortable taking direction from multiple leaders, open to feedback, and can work independently.
- Strong facilitator with knowledge of effective internal controls and emerging technology solutions.
- Results oriented with strong analytical, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
