Position Summary
This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR business partner who is looking to lead HR coverage for the sales and corporate functions at a successful and growing asset management firm with 700 employees globally. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this role will be the primary HR point of contact for the sales and corporate functions at TCW. This is a hands-on role where the candidate will be responsible for aligning business objectives with HR strategies, developing and implementing HR initiatives, and providing guidance and support on various HR matters. The candidate will also act as a change agent and trusted advisor for business leaders and employees.
The ideal candidate must be a strong player/coach who builds effective relationships with managers and employees in the firm and is effective and influential in leading the team through change.
Essential Duties
- Partner with leaders and managers to understand business strategy and objectives and identify HR implications and opportunities.
- Develop and implement HR solutions that support business goals and culture.
- Provide coaching and feedback to managers and employees on HR issues, such as organizational design, hiring, performance management, talent assessment and development, compensation, and culture.
- Facilitate the talent review process and support the development and retention of high-potential and high-performing employees.
- Execute the performance management cycle, and ensure that performance feedback is fair, balanced, and developmentally focused.
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives and monitor employee engagement and satisfaction levels.
- Lead and facilitate change management initiatives and support the business in navigating through organizational changes.
- Lead or participate in HR projects and initiatives that support the HR strategy and the business priorities.
- Promote a culture of inclusion and foster a positive and respectful work environment.
- Stay updated on the HR trends and best practices and provide insights and recommendations to the HR function and the business units.
- Analyze HR data and metrics and provide insights and recommendations to improve employee engagement, productivity, and retention.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
- Build strong relationships with the leadership team as well as HR counterparts and act as an effective partner to the team and business; partner with HR colleagues on other team initiatives to help provide high-level of HR services across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 10+ years of experience as an HR business partner or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of HR functions and processes, such as compensation, performance management, talent development, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, organizational design, and change management
- Prior experience in investment management, financial services, or similar professional services environment required
- Strong Microsoft Office skills

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in other HR functional areas such as compensation, talent management or talent development highly preferred
Estimated Compensation:
Base Salary: For NY based position, the base salary range is $200k to $230k. This is an anticipated range only.
Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
