About Vendor Management
The Vendor Management Team is responsible for managing complex contracts, third party oversight compliance, and direct vendor relationships. This team is responsible for providing necessary information and consultation to Senior Business Leaders & functional partners to support the management of their vendor population and enable data-based decision making.
The Role
This person will be a part of an enterprise-wide Vendor Management Team within Sixth Street. This person will report to with the Senior Vendor Management Associate and help to manage all compliance requirements regarding vendor oversight in partnership with the Legal team, ensure firm systems are updated appropriately with vendor information, and ensure governance standards are adhered to and administered in the most effective and efficient way.
Core Responsibilities
- Support and enhance a centralized vendor due diligence framework
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and third parties to manage risks and metric management in alignment with expectations of the business
- Serve as a central liaison between the Vendor Management Team, Investment Teams, Federation (e.g., Legal and Compliance, Tax, Technology) and other key stakeholders to execute the third-party oversight program
- Ensure vendor deliverables, third party processes and necessary documentation are completed and implemented consistently across the portfolio through the planning, and due-diligence process
- Educate and partner with various teams to conduct initial risk assessments on third parties during the onboarding process and ongoing risk assessment through the duration of the Third-Party relationship
- Coordinate and partner with key leaders to assess third party risks and controls, as well as identify risks requiring remediation and documenting remediation plans for third party oversight
- Manage ad hoc miscellaneous projects as necessary (process improvements, internal audits, regulatory support)

Preferred
- At least 3 years of proven experience in vendor management
- Self-starter who requires little direction
- Cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance background

- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Structured problem solver who is able to synthesize sophisticated information from a variety of sources into implementable recommendations and solutions
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams
- Strong prioritization and project management skills
- Comfort working in a high growth, iterative environment
