Position Summary:The Head of Content Strategy at TCW will be a visionary leader responsible for crafting and executing a comprehensive content strategy that elevates our brand presence and product offerings. This role involves overseeing the creation and distribution of high-impact content across various media types, including podcasts, videos, long and short-form thought leadership, digital content, social media, and email campaigns. Partnering closely with the global marketing department, sales and TCW Investors, the Head of Content Strategy will ensure that all content initiatives are align with TCW’s business goals and resonate with our target audience. This role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the financial industry, exceptional storytelling abilities, and a proven track record of leading successful content programs across the financial services industry.
Essential Duties
- Vision and Strategy: Provide a clear vision and strategic direction for all content initiatives, ensuring alignment with TCW’s overall business goals.
- Content Creation: Curate, write, and edit high-quality content that resonates with our target audience and reinforces our key campaigns and product narratives. Content should be written purposely for each media type.
- Program Leadership: Lead and measure the impact of content programs across multiple platforms, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging. Develop award-leading programs that get TCW visible brand recognition and elevates our engagement with clients.
- Campaign Reinforcement: Develop content series that support and enhance our key campaigns and product narratives in market.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with portfolio managers, executives, and peers to ensure content aligns with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of content creators, ensuring professional growth and high performance. Provide ongoing direction and vision for junior members to thrive and succeed in their roles and media channels.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, Masters and/or MBA is beneficial but not required with focus areas in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of professional writing experience working for an asset management or other investment-related company, or as a financial journalist
- Experience in asset management and/or financial services.
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and industry standards for content creation in the financial services sector
- Proficient in MS Office, social media, Web interfaces and marketing automation tools (i.e. marketo, salesforce, hubspot, seismic)
- Experience working with UX design teams to ensure content is user-friendly and accessible across all digital media (i.e. social, website, email, text, etc.)

- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy.
- Experience with various content formats and platforms, including podcasts, videos, social media, and email.
- Strong analytical skills to measure content effectiveness and impact.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Expertise in digital content creation and search engine optimization (SEO) to enhance online visibility and engagement.
- Have experience leading key programs either in podcast, video, key industry events, social etc.

Estimated Compensation:
Base Salary: For NY/CA based position, the base salary range is $225k to $275k. This is an anticipated range only.
Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
