Department Overview
The Operational Risk Management (“ORM”) Department is responsible for the Risk Mitigation Framework. The Risk Mitigation Framework provides the process, tools and approach that are needed to support and enhance the control environment required to minimize operational risks related to Golub Capital’s non-investment functions. The Risk Mitigation Framework was created to minimize material losses, provide process and internal control oversight, and anticipate potential material loss events. The Risk Mitigation Framework is comprised of a set of consistent and repeatable elements that allow Golub Capital to identify, assess, mitigate, and report on the operational risk profile of the firm. The Risk Mitigation programs include Risk and Control Self-Assessment (“RCSA”), Issue Management (“IM”), Vendor Risk Management (“VRM”), Business Continuity Management (“BCM”), and Internal Control Testing (“ICT”).
Position Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst will assist the Project Management Team in leading several large-scale cross-departmental projects / programs. This role will start by assisting the Project Managers on new investor fund launches and various organizational change / business transformation initiatives for Shared Services. This is a hands-on role responsible for furthering the pragmatic project and governance processes to ensure we exceed our client’s expectations with how we deliver high-value solutions to the Firm. The Senior Analyst is responsible for assisting project leads to develop and manage project plans to track tasks, identifying and tracking milestones, tracking dependencies, handling risks / issues and communicating project status to all impacted stakeholders. This is a heavily execution focused role so this person may take direction from others and to “roll up your sleeves” to assist in a variety of tasks. This is an internal client-facing role requiring communication with users at all levels, so exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Quickly getting up to speed on our project management standards and practices
- Actively supporting current projects utilizing best practices, techniques and standards throughout the entire project execution:
- Working closely with business stakeholders and potential vendors to identify and relay requirements and to ensure project delivery meets all desired business specifications
- Developing and monitoring comprehensive, detailed project plans either in Microsoft Project or other software
- Meeting with project team members to identify tasks and dependencies to build out a comprehensive plan and coordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines and schedules
- Assisting in the tracking of risks and issues, ensuring they are assigned and resolved as appropriate
- Preparing status reports and steering committee decks by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information
- Organizing work and focus the team on what needs to be accomplished and prioritized

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education required
- 2+ years of experience in financial services project management or relevant field (e.g., portfolio / program management, strategy, change management, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Visio, SharePoint)
- Subject Matter Expert (Preferred) in: Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project for Web, Agile methodologies and Scrum processes
- Certifications (Preferred): Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
- Flexible and willing to adapt to meet the needs of the team
- Self-motivated, team oriented and able to multi-task, including the ability to handle several projects
- Proactive self-starter with a positive can-do and “no job too small”, “no one size fits all” attitude
- Thorough with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills across a variety of audiences
