POSITION OVERVIEW: The Analyst reports directly to fund controllers and will support the ongoing financial operations of various fund of fund platforms including Apollo’s rapidly growing flagship fund Apollo Aligned Alternatives (“AAA”). AAA is an open-ended equity fund that allows high net-worth individuals and institutions to invest alongside the firm and replace public equity investments by offering exposure to lower-volatility private alternative investments. This individual will be tasked with the quality execution of the day-to-day core accounting responsibilities, driving improvements in processes and reporting, and engaging in problem-solving. We are seeking a talented and dedicated professional with the ability to be part of a versatile team and a strong desire to learn and develop in their career.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work on various areas related to month-end close process, including completing a NAV package with all the relevant supporting documentation, calculating performance figures, assisting with corporate and investor reporting, and reviewing administrator workpapers.
Primary preparer of shadow books and records and validating administrator-prepared data.
Assist controllers with preparation of monthly/quarterly investor reports and financial statements.
Assist controllers with preparation of Board and management reporting.
Manage relationships with various vendors and third-party providers of services including administrators, custodians, transfer agents, and auditors.
Coordinate closely with internal counterparts in Corporate, Operations, Marketing, Tax, Legal, and front office functions
Assist Controllers with special projects and ad hoc requests as needed. These projects may include the advancement of technological initiatives within the firm.
Qualifications & Experience
CPA required
2-4 years relevant work experience in private funds, public accounting experience preferred
Strong U.S. GAAP and technical accounting skills
Experience in management fee calculations and carry waterfall calculations/review a plus
Previous experience evaluating process controls, procedures, and flows
Ability to take initiative and be accountable for designated tasks in a group or individual setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Flexible mindset/ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly growing environment
Proficient in Microsoft Excel required, experience with Alteryx, Anaplan or Power BI a plus

Pay Range
85,000 – 110,000
The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
