The firm has a long tenured and seasoned investment team with over 150 years of combined private equity experience. In the late 1990s members of the team began working together at General Motors Investment Management Corporation to manage the GM pension private equity program. Since 1996, the team has allocated $30 billion to Private Equity, including approximately $14 billion to global buyouts, $8 billion to venture capital, and $4 billion to direct co-investments. The transaction combines PEM's private equity fund-of-funds and co-investment experience and investment track record with Sagard's alternative investment offering and global network. The PEM Investment Team continues to lead its business, including managing and operating its Funds. Responsibilities & Duties
RFPs & DDQs
- Partner with Managing Directors, investment analysts, operations team, and compliance to complete prospective and current investor RFP, RFI and DDQ requests and develop a formalized process for completion.
- Collaborate with broader IR team to onboard and leverage RFP writing software, DiligenceVault.
- Create a comprehensive library of questionnaire responses and develop cohesive record keeping strategy for ease of reference for future responses and SEC examinations/audits.
Investor Relations
- Collaborate with internal team members as needed to facilitate timely and accurate responses to all incoming investor inquiries and requests.
- Partner with Managing Directors, investment analysts, operations team, and compliance in production of fund quarterly letters, annual reports and additional marketing materials as needed.
- Log all post-meeting notes and emails into DealCloud CRM on behalf of Managing Directors.
- Manage ongoing updates of all fund and firm-wide marketing and legal materials in Intralinks data rooms.
- Assist Head of Investor Relations in planning and execution of quarterly investor update calls, annual Investor Conference, roadshows and ad-hoc LP updates or events.
- Support Head of Investor Relations in onboarding, subscription document, AML/KYC, and capital call process for new and existing LPs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-5 years client communications and investor relations experience within the investment industry
- Experience in writing RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs
- Experience with one or more of the following: Qvidian, Seismic, Responsive, DiligenceVault, and/or DealCloud
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience in Google G Suite/Workspace a plus
- Experience with private equity investment products and collaborating cross-functionally
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Self-starter; can work autonomously
Compensation
- Up to $175k annual compensation (combination of salary and bonus), commensurate with experience.
