Role Value Proposition
The Sustainability Research team provides dedicated research, impact reporting and sustainability expertise within Public Fixed Income. This entails developing, building and maintaining specific sustainable portfolio strategies, impact reporting, engagement, and broader research and reporting on ESG issues. The team forms a dedicated resource within Public Fixed Income. The Sustainability Associate will report to the heads of sustainability research and will contribute to the team’s broader work, with a specific focus on researching issuers and investment opportunities for fixed income portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop sector expertise and conduct research and analysis of issuers and investment opportunities for fixed income portfolios
- The Sustainability Associate will contribute to the development of existing and new thematic sustainable strategies
- The Sustainability Associate will support the production of sustainability impact reports
- Conduct quantitative GHG emissions analysis of issuers and portfolios
- The Sustainability Associate will take on responsibility for project management roles within the team’s broader workflow
- Represent the team’s work with internal and external stakeholders
Essential Business Experience and Technical Expertise

- Substantive experience in a combination of sustainability research, investment management or other relevant field
- Strong understanding of sustainable finance, including ongoing and emerging themes and regulatory frameworks
- Understanding of GHG emissions measurement and reporting frameworks, and ability to conduct analysis of large datasets
- High level of critical and logical thinking, and strong written and spoken communications skills
