What is the Franklin Templeton Technology (FTT) PMO responsible for?
The FTT PMO is looking for a dynamic Program Manager to lead large-scale, high impact programs for Franklin Templeton. As a Program Manager, you will work on strategic initiatives, which generally involve multiple business units or the entire enterprise, with moderate to high risk and complexity.
The PMO supports the Franklin Templeton enterprise (i.e., Sales, Marketing, Service and Operations, Investment Management, Back Office Operations, Infrastructure Services, Investment Management, etc.) in delivering outcomes to achieve the organization’s strategic vision with this role focused on Generative AI technology & capabilities.
What is the Program Manager - Generative AI responsible for?
The Program Manager acts as the central point of accountability to plan, direct, and coordinate large-scale programs and associated projects and workstreams to ensure goals and objectives are achieved with high quality while delivering on expected business value. In line with our strategic direction, a successful candidate will be well versed in several program management techniques and exhibit a collaborative, customer focused and outcomes mindset.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Program Manager - Generative AI?
- Program Management: Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Define and execute the strategic vision for generative AI programs, aligning with organizational goals. Manage program and project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful program execution.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with project execution teams to ensure timely delivery of products or services while collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to develop innovative AI solutions.
- Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales departments and across technology owners and teams
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential risks and mitigation plans and establish resolution plans for addressing these issues.
- Reporting and Communications: Prepare reports for executive leadership and stakeholders depicting the state of benefits realization for the program, both quantitatively and qualitatively. Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI initiatives, optimizing for effectiveness and efficiency.
- Change Management: Drive the adoption of generative AI solutions across the organization. Ensure compliance with legal, privacy, and ethical standards in the deployment of AI technologies. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in AI to inform program direction.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Min 8-15 years related experience.
- Expertise of various program management techniques and frameworks
- Understanding of AI models, machine learning algorithms, and their applications
- Experience working in a large-scale multi-national firm essential; Financial Services industry a plus.

Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $150,000 and $200,000.
