JOB SUMMARY
ClearBridge Investments is looking for an RFP Writer to join our New York-based marketing team. The successful candidate will thrive in an environment where managing multiple projects under strict deadlines is the norm. We are seeking candidates with investment management/financial markets experience and excellent written/oral communication skills to manage responsibilities as outlined below:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage quarterly/annual requests for the retail mutual fund and retail SMA business.
- Write and produce RFP/RFI/DDQs: Respond to institutional and retail RFPs, RFIs, and Consultant questionnaires.
- Content Management: Ensure timely and accurate updates to language in the team’s content management system (Qvidian).
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with a diverse network of experts throughout ClearBridge to ensure effective and timely response to even the most demanding inquiries.
- Project Management: Coordinate with—and manage—a network of internal constituents to ensure flawless and timely execution or RFPs.
- Product Knowledge: Stay abreast of new product developments in terms of structure, staffing, performance and competitive strengths.
- Branding: Understand and uphold high editorial standards to express ClearBridge’s voice with authority and consistency with the firm’s brand.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years minimum previous experience working within the asset management industry, preferably in an RFP writing capacity
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Team player and ability to work autonomously
- Experience with equity investment products preferred
- Clear understanding of institutional and retail asset management businesses
- Ability to manage and proactively build relationships with constituents around the firm
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint and basic Excel
- Proficiency in Loopio preferred, but not a requirement
- Proficiency in Seismic preferred, but not a requirement
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
