Verition Fund Management LLC ("Verition") is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008. Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.
The role is for an experienced project manager working on Technology projects focused on Hedge Fund Operational initiatives. The ideal candidate will have previously worked with financial services firms in a similar capacity. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders and technology leads to elicit requirements, draft project documentation, and manage initiatives from start to finish. This individual will be working closely on projects that include, but are not limited to, Trade Operations, Pricing, Analytics, and Valuation, Treasury and Cash Management, Data Management, Risk Management, Legal and Compliance. This person will report into the Lead Technology Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Elicitation of Business Requirements and translation into a functional requirements document.
- Work across all teams to ensure a consistent and complete requirements definition.
- Work closely with developers to ensure successful transformation of business requirements into technical design / solution
- Participate in application design, configuration, testing and deployment
- Engage stakeholders for participation in requirements, testing, review, and definition of done.
- Identify resource requirements and gaps
- Coordinate with development resources to document and ratify solution design.
- Coordinate users, meetings, and working sessions to enable requirements gathering and solution planning.
- Manage regular scrum meetings
- Develop and maintain a project plan
- Effectively communicate with all stakeholders both within and outside Information Technology.
- Prepare and communicate status updates including Identification of risks to the project(s).
- Familiarity with SDLC and scrum agile practices.
- Support Technology, Business, and Project Management teams to a successful conclusion of projects by consulting across teams receiving input into operational delivery, planning and alignment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
- Business Analysis and/or Project Management experience.
- 3-7+ years of experience
- High level skill with Microsoft Office Suite required
- Familiarity with Atlassian suite of Project Management tools (Confluence, Jira) or similar Project Management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work directly with key stakeholders to gather and interpret requirements
- Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and process-driven.
- Experience coordinating projects across multiple teams / functions
- Experience with software development methodologies
- Proactive and self-directed in work habits
- Experience with Information Security implementations is a plus
- PMP Certified or other formal Project Management education is a plus
Salary Range
$110,000—$170,000 USD
