Objective of Role:
LaSalle Investment Management is seeking an experienced professional to join the Investor Relations team as Head of Americas for Investor Relations. This new leader will oversee the Americas Investor Relations team, which currently comprises 4 members, and spearhead growth of the team’s coverage and of the equity raised from the Americas region. This role will report to the Global Head of Investor Relations based in Paris.
In addition to leadership and management, this role will include key Relationship Management responsibilities. In particular, the individual in the seat will act as the primary coverage professional for US-based investment consultants as well as certain key clients of the firm. At LaSalle, Relationship Managers are responsible for managing the overall relationship with clients and prospects, including the marketing of all LaSalle funds and investment vehicles.
Accountabilities:
Team Management
- As head of the Americas team, take responsibility for putting together an annual business plan for fundraising from the region. The plan will focus on priorities for the team, including strategies for growth.
- Directly manage and oversee the activities and career development of Investor Relations members in the Americas.
Client Relationship Management
- Manage LaSalle’s relationships with investment consultants in the US and Canada. This individual will develop and maintain strong personal relationships with the key individuals at consultants and large clients or key prospective clients.
- In particular, ensure that the consultant community is aware of LaSalle activities; orchestrate the presentation of LaSalle’s products and services to consultants in the Americas; and make all efforts to have LaSalle funds considered and underwritten.
- In addition, as the most senior representative in the Americas, take on responsibility for key LaSalle clients alongside the Relationship Manager assigned to the client’s geography. Clients will include pension funds, insurance companies, endowments, multi-manager funds, large family offices, banks serving HNW clients, and securities’ distributors.
- Oversee the team’s implementation of Know Your Client procedure for introducing new clients to the firm.
Capital Raising
- Lead the presentation of all LaSalle products globally, including co-mingled funds, separate accounts, single transactions, joint ventures, and other services to clients, both for LaSalle private real estate business as well as for Global Securities.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of each of LaSalle’s investment strategies and the relevant track record and capabilities.
- Ensure that all products marketed to their coverage area are consistent with appropriate regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Ensure that all LaSalle teams presenting to a client or consultant are fully briefed on the relevant background, including, e.g. the backgrounds and relationships with specific individuals as well as any nuances of the client, their investment objectives, and their historical and existing investments on a global basis.
- Work with the relevant product teams and compliance to prepare responses to RFPs and to negotiate relevant terms and conditions of potential mandates.
- In the role of consultant coverage, coordinate closely with the DC focused team to help them achieve their objectives.
- Represent LaSalle at external events.
- Listen to clients’ needs to develop new product ideas to feed into the LaSalle new product development framework.
- Work closely with colleagues in Investor Relations, Research & Strategy, Private Equity, and Securities to debate, market test, and revise new product ideas.
Internal Leadership and Communication
- Sit on the relevant leadership committees, which currently include:
- The Investor Relations Management Board, which is composed of the most senior members of the team across the platform. The board discusses and decides on major strategic orientations for the team to achieve the targets, share information, and cascade major messages to the regional teams.
- The Americas Board, which gathers different parts of the Americas-based business leaders.
- Work closely with other members of Investor Relations, Research & Strategy, Private Equity, and Global Solutions to share ideas and approaches to maximise our capital raising and client coverage.
- Actively use Juniper Square, LaSalle’s Client Relationship Management system, to log client contact information and feedback so that it is shared with the firm.- Ensure the Americas team consistently utilizes the system as well.
- Work in conjunction with Legal & Compliance to ensure that all marketing materials are compliant with local regulations. •Represent the Investor Relations Group at internal LaSalle events.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in investment management, consulting, banking or real estate acquisitions or development
- Experience in management, business development, capital-raising and related activities, preferably in real estate and/or alternative assets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is a requirement. Spanish or French language skills would be an advantage
- Strong sense of teamwork and ability to work with colleagues remotely and across time zones
- Demonstrated management expertise, growth, and client servicing-oriented mindset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

- Willingness to travel globally
Estimated total compensation for this position:
200,000.00 – 300,000.00 USD per year
