The Business Unit Control team is responsible for observing and analyzing P & L, risk, pricing processes and internal financing. This role will be primarily focused on daily controls within our global product control framework, including estimate vs. actual P & L analysis and NAV reporting, reconciliation and monitoring, and daily and weekly management reporting. The successful candidate will not only execute established controls, but also identify gaps and areas for development and improvement.
Principal Responsibilities
- NAV Reporting – responsible for daily workflow and reporting related to Millennium’s NAV, inclusive of revenue, expenses, returns, etc.
- Estimate vs. Actual Break Investigation – review and investigation of T0 vs. T1 breaks related to both revenue and non-revenue items through data analysis, inclusive of detailed and thorough commentary.
- Controls and Monitoring – provide ongoing monitoring to capture, highlight, and escalate issues across multiple processes and workflows.
- Reporting and Projects – prepare various daily and weekly reports for senior management. Contribute to enhancement of existing tools and continued system development and implementation.
Qualifications/Skills Required
- 7+ years of relevant experience in fund accounting, financial control, or both.
- Detail oriented; Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work
- Proven success interacting cross-functionally, specifically with investment professionals and senior management.
- Outstanding verbal and communication skills, with ability to interact with individuals of all levels. Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Automation/process improvement; project skills, senior management reporting. Murex/Geneva/Imagine knowledge a plus
- Proactive, detail-oriented problem solver with a desire to contribute to Millennium’s reputation and success
- Outstanding verbal and communication skills, with ability to interact with individuals of all levels
- Proven ability to contribute in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
