Summary:
Harris Associates is looking for an exceptional candidate to help shape the future of the Client Reporting team. This team is responsible for preparing standard and customized client reporting for approximately 2,000 separately managed private client accounts and over 100 institutional accounts. The team will have regular interactions with most departments within the firm, including Client Service, Marketing, and other Operations teams. We are seeking an individual who has excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, the ability to critically analyze data, the willingness to take initiative to solve problems.
Duties & Responsibilities: - Drive change
- Participate in implementation of strategic firmwide client reporting tool
- Identify new processes to improve our current reporting capabilities and enhance efficiency
- Work with stakeholders to deliver on client queries and provide extra insights for our internal/external clients
- Take leadership role in cross-team or firmwide projects
- Support reporting
- Function as one of the main points of contact on reporting deliverables and queries
- Assist the team on delivery of all client reporting requirements in accordance with established investment management agreements (IMAs)
- Work closely with relevant parties to understand, define and document reporting requirements
- Coordinate data flow with other internal teams to ensure all reporting deadlines are met
- Collaborate with Technology teams to resolve reporting issues as they are identified
- Maintain high standards of excellence
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of the firm’s investment strategies and data flow
- Maintain quality control, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of all reports
- Actively participate in departmental projects and initiatives, occasionally acting as the lead
- Develop proficiency in key reporting tools and maintain technical knowledge of tools; develop report content and partner with IT to drive enhancements to the end-client deliverables
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, math, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience, preferably for an investment firm, consultant, private client firm, bank, or trust company
- Experience with Simcorp Coric or other similar enterprise client reporting system (i.e. Vermillion)
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office –Excel and PowerPoint and experience in the development and construction of formula-driven spreadsheets, pivot tables, and macros
- Experience working with data warehouses / large data sets
- Skilled interpersonal and communication abilities to interact with internal teams and manage expectations of multiple parties
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational and project-management skills
- Strong analytical and technical aptitude needed to solve complex operational problems
- Exceptional ability to multitask with a strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize competing deadlines
- Strong work ethic and a hunger to continuously grow and improve
Preferred:
- Experience with Salesforce, or another CRM, and Sharepoint
- Knowledge of financial markets, investments and interest in investment strategies
- Interest in the CFA program
