The Leucadia Asset Management Trade Finance Group is a Private Corporate Credit Strategy deploying capital into short dated trade assets. The Group originates its own primary assets from a diverse multinational client base and executes a variety of trade finance structures.
Role: We are seeking a motivated Structurer at the AVP or VP level that is looking for a new role in Trade Finance that has 5-7 years of experience in Corporate Banking or Credit and Lending roles. The role will be focused on supporting the Structuring and Origination teams in the structuring of Trade Finance transactions and in deal execution and management.
Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting discrete structuring related tasks within transactions including but not limited to initial deal scoping and structuring, documentation negotiation and deal implementation and execution.
- Collaborating with origination teams on new business opportunities to assess the best solutions and outcomes to meet client needs and deliver value for LAM Trade Finance Group
- Engaging with credit teams on the underlying transactional risk elements across credit, legal, jurisdictional and other risk thematics
- Working in partnership with operations teams for deal implementations
- Managing administrative tasks including call notes, deal tracking, document versioning
- Coordinating legal work and documentation with internal and external counsel
Qualifications and capabilities:
- 2-3 years of experience within trade finance in either an origination, structuring, distribution, or product management role
- 1-2 years of experience in credit transactions either focused on trade finance structures or more broadly in the corporate credit space (loans, borrowing bases), it would be beneficial if the candidate had worked either as a credit analyst or in a role submitting credit papers.
- Prior roles supporting a business development or sales team is a plus, as is experience interacting with legal colleagues and in reviewing legal documents and credit agreements.
- Fluency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Excellent reporting and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments in an agile team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a great attitude and be team oriented
- Interest in being part of a growing alternative investment platform
- Outstanding writing and presentation skills and ability to communicate product-level details in a clear and sophisticated manner

The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $175,000.
The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications. The successful candidate for this position may be hired to work out of New York OR London.
