The Impact you will have in this role:
The DIRECT Data Office CoE vision is to implement an innovative and outstanding data architecture that allows DTCC to use data to add client value globally and achieve key product growth objectives while maintaining consistency, quality, integrity, governance, and innovation. The Metadata & Data Governance workstream within Data Office owns the capture of business, technical, and operational metadata, and integration of metadata as code. Defines data governance, impact analysis and change requirement reviews for all metadata.
The Business Systems Analyst role within the Metadata & Data Governance workstream will specialize in acting as the main interface between specific business / product areas, application development and testing teams and identifying, documenting, and analyzing business requirements, creating technical specifications, and performing metadata configurations.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development teams, product management, and stakeholders on metadata requirements
- Conduct data elements analysis
- Play a key role in detailing metadata requirements in Jira
- Participate in grooming sessions (Agile) to drive requirements modelling
- Perform analysis of schemas for all jurisdictions, supervise for metadata changes and add configurations in the metadata tool
- Align with the Data Governance strategy and processes to supervise and mitigate risk
- Provide input to developers and Test Engineers to ensure System Integration and User Acceptance Test scripts accurately reflect business and functional requirements
- Participate in reviews of SIT results and defect reviews; support user acceptance testing as needed
- Maintain and contribute to system documentation under company-specific best practices and standards
- Understand and apply industry-specific best practices & standards
- Establish level of expertise in the business areas, systems and platforms being supported
- Contribute to the creation of functional specifications by analyzing business requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6-8 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
- Some SQL knowledge to be able to work with Snowflake database.
- Understanding of data models and mappings.
- Understanding of xml and xsd structures.
- Understanding of xslt language.
- Understanding of metadata and Collibra tool.
- Basic fpml knowledge would be highly beneficial.
- Basic understanding of a trade lifecycle would be beneficial.
- Fosters a culture where integrity and transparency are encouraged.
- Stays ahead of changes in their own specialist area and seeks out learning opportunities to ensure knowledge is up-to-date.
- Collaborates well within and across teams.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
