The impact you will have in this role:
The Lead Scrum Master is a key member of a development squad with a well-defined software development life cycle process. This role applies a broad technical knowledge of the Agile methodology to manage the scrum process with geographically dispersed teams to deliver exceptional standards in product quality and timely, predictable delivery of projects. You will overlook cross functional coordination and communication, requirements traceability, release management, test case management, and defect tracking concerns to keep delivery on track.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Understands Agile and relevant frameworks (e.g., scrum) to improve the success of the squad.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of Agile tools, techniques, principles and values and apply this knowledge to the squad.
- Successfully balance delivery timeframes and continuous iteration so that customer feedback is always incorporated.
- Participate in Scrum of Scrums sessions to ensure the Squad and the others in the Tribe are aligned on priorities, dependencies, and timelines.
- Provide role (PO, QA, Dev, etc.) based mentoring and proactively facilitate coaching session with the squad.
- Coach the squad to consider how squad/product vision affects other squads we regularly interact with.
- Coordinate movement of code between Development, Testing, UAT and Production environments and a related planning, resourcing, and scheduling activities.
- Managing and delivering projects to specification using a defined development process and delivering within budget and timeline
- Build meaningful relationships with squad members and resolve most issues using your rapport and trust with squad members.
- Continuously seek and act on feedback received to bring about positive changes. Servant Leadership
- Understand both the squad’s overall capacity and impediments that impact individual members of the squad. Work to create a team culture that values sustainable execution by not over-committing.
- Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk; brings up appropriately.

Qualifications:
- Min 6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- Bachelors’ Degree and/or equivalent years of experience.
Talents Needed for Success:
- Previous software development lifecycle experience.
- Familiarity with diverse technologies and platforms
- Familiarity with Agile techniques and tools - Scrum, Kanban, Jira, etc.
- Scrum Master certification a plus
- Clear communicator, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Continuous proactivity and follow-through
- Ability to prioritize and focus on most urgent tasks & work in a fast-paced IT environment.
- Proficient MS Office skills
- Knowledge of system functionality to be able to engage in discussion with the squad.
- Not afraid to ask many questions, push back, or raise attention to risks or issues.
- A flexible, and proactive approach to supervise down resources to gather appropriate information.
- Comfortable working closely with team management to review approaches and requirements that solve the business problem.
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
