Job Description
The Technician, IS Regional Office provides technical, operations, and training support to users of firm’s personal computers either by telephone, email, remote assist, chat or on-site relative to desktop hardware and software packages. The position helps to identify, rectify and communicate effectively any issues the customer may have regardless of technical nature as it relates to customer satisfaction. There will be occasional travel to other California offices.
Primary Responsibilities and/or Essential functions:
- Provides 1st and 2nd level customer support for all technical and operational IS issues; and training to end users of firm’s personal computers via telephone, email, remote assist or on-site relative to hardware and software packages.
- Configures, tests for quality assurance, deploys and supports computers, smartphones, printers and other hardware provided by Weil. Reaches out to vendors for repair.
- Records all changes to Weil assets in Change Gear Asset Management System and assists in ecyle.
- Installs and tests personal computers, printers, and other peripherals; configures operating system, shrinkwrap programs, and applications software programs.
- Provides setup and support for AV issues and tasks, including meetings (both virtual and onsite), presentations, and hardware maintenance.
- Administers and provides Zoom telephone support to local office.
- Participates in local and regional meetings and calls as required.
- Any additional responsibilities as required by management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- 2+ years of desktop support experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows environment.
- Printer hardware maintenance experience is a plus.
- Must have a good understanding of Microsoft Technologies, hardware diagnosis / repair and hardware imaging for PCs and mobile devices.
- Must have strong ability to effectively interface with local IS Team, all levels of management and to communicate effectively orally and written with customers, coworkers, vendors and supervisors.
- Ability to resolve desktop related concerns and contribute to project-related objectives of the department.
- Possess good organizational skills.
- Ability to work and function efficiently both individually on in a tea oriented environment.
- Prioritize work efforts and multi-task in a very “fast-paced” environment, and provide timely and clear updates.
Educations/Certifications:
- Required – High School Diploma
- Preferred – Two / Four year college degree or degree from Vocational Institute in related field of industry
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (engineering, mathematics, physics, etc.) is a plus
Estimated salary range is $80,000- $90,000. Compensation decisions within the range are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
