Summary: The CFO must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management including investment and banking operations. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and communicator as they will be responsible for delivering the financial plan and progress to the board and the C-suite.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive the company’s financial planning, budgeting and transfer pricing programs
- Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, the law and company policies
- Propose investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks in line with regulatory requirements
- Control and evaluate the organization’s cash flow, fundraising plans and capital structure
- Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports and assist in making strategic financial decisionsManage the company’s finance IT system and keep it fit for purpose
- Determine and manage finance KPIs and align with overall business objectives
- Manage all finance personnel
- Manage relevant vendor relationships
REQUIREMENTS

Education:
- Proven experience as CFO,finance officer or relevant role (banking institution experience preferred)
- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law, banking and risk management practices
- Experience with CIMA capital adequacy and liquidity requirements and reporting
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
- Ability to strategize and solve problems
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
- CPA qualification
- BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus.
