This position is responsible for the development and delivery of retirement insights to financial professionals, plan sponsors and policymakers to improve retirement outcomes and reinforce JPMorgan Asset Management’s (JPMAM) thought leadership in the retirement space.
Job Summary
As the ERISA - Retirement Insights Director on the Asset Management Retirement Solutions team is an exciting and multi-faceted role. You should have a passion for retirement and strong experience in ERISA.
Job Responsibilities
- Expert-level knowledge of ERISA, DOL and IRS rules and regulations
- Deep understanding of legal, regulatory and legislative issues, with the ability to interpret new and proposed developments along with the implementation details and serve as team’s technical resource for the legislative/regulatory elements.
- Experience with a wide range of retirement-planning vehicles across the defined contribution and individual retirement spaces, and understanding of applications to meet a variety of client needs.
- Experience with asset management product solutions including fluency in target-date and retirement-income and partner with marketing team on developing messaging
- Active pulse on the latest trends and developments in the defined contribution space, with the ability to proactively translate legal, regulatory and legislative updates into plain English, with the goal of JPMAM being first-to-market with key insights.
- Demonstrated ability to lead research projects to develop insights for institutional and retail client audiences, and promote thought leadership via white papers, bulletins, webcasts and industry events.
- Maintain JPMAM’s leadership position by representing the firm’s research and insights across industry conferences, webcasts, roadshows and platform relationships.

- Fiduciary and client-focused mindset
- Expert knowledge of retirement plan vehicles, rules and regulations
- Proven presentation and public speaking skills
- Ability to travel and partner with sales force in a variety of client settings
- Understanding of the roles and responsibilities of recordkeepers, consultants, plan sponsors, financial advisors and asset managers
- Demonstrated ability to proactively engage internal stakeholders and share ideas across large and diverse teams in both the institutional and retail spaces
Preferred Qualifcations, Capabilities And Skills
- Advanced degree (i.e. J.D.; CPA) is a plus
