We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director – Strategy to join our BNY Investments Strategy team. This role is located in New York, New York
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Partner with the leadership team to enable organic growth and drive BNY Investment’s long-term strategic priorities
- Translate business problems into structured projects that you will lead in end-to-end delivery from hypothesis development to final conclusions
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders by fostering engagement and translating strategic recommendations into execution-oriented outcomes
- Leverage well-honed advisory skills to work with stakeholders to elicit information, think objectively and analytically, and influence end results positively
- Develop materials to communicate strategy and business updates to the Board, Executive Committee, Investment Firms and other stakeholders
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- 12+ years of related experience; must have proven track record in management consulting or Strategy roles ideally in Investment and Wealth Management.
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- Experience working with executive committee members and leading/managing high-performing, strategically minded teams
- History of leading and managing teams to solve high-impact problems and develop actionable, complete solutions for the most challenging issues
- Experience fostering a positive, collegiate and inclusive team environment for junior colleagues
- Intellectual curiosity with a proactive mindset, interested in shaping the future of investment management business
- Capacity to handle multiple simultaneous projects and remain stoic in the face of uncertainty
- A global mindset and experience working across a diverse set of environments

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $125,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
