JOB SUMMARY
ClearBridge Investments is seeking an Equity Research Analyst to join their New York based Large Cap Growth team. This individual would serve as the sole Portfolio Analyst reporting to the two Portfolio Managers on the team. Our research process focuses on company fundamentals, competitive dynamics, financial position, and management decision making, in addition to other factors, for lower turnover long-only strategies.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research across the breadth of large cap growth equity investments
- Communicate information and investment recommendations to investment team
- Generate new ideas and maintain current views on securities held in portfolios
- Attend and/or lead meetings with relevant company managements
- Model and analyze company financials
- Construct valuation models
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- 6-10 years of investment industry experience
- Fundamental equity research experience as a generalist ; experience in technology, consumer or industrials sectors preferred
- Competency in dissecting and valuing businesses across different sectors
- Exceptional analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and rigorous financial statement analysis skills
- Ability to synthesize an investment opportunity in a timely fashion and reach a firm buy/sell conclusion
- Ability to collaborate as well as work independently
- Excellent communication skills
- College degree
- MBA, CFA a plus
- Ability to travel as needed, job is based in New York City

- The salary range for this position is targeted for $180,000 to $230,000 plus discretionary bonus. Base pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience
