Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC seeks to fill the position of Vice President, Banking in New York, NY.
Execute financings and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) transactions. Analyze and synthesize financial and operating information about companies, industries, and governments. Analyze detailed corporate and financial information to develop meaningful insights. Create statistical exhibits and models that analyze comparative financial performance. Build models that illustrate projected financial results and value to companies. Develop marketing memoranda and participate in client presentations. Proactively generate ideas for clients and exploit trends in industry, product, and competition. Independently identify new revenue opportunities, and help deliver to the Firm. Develop strong internal and external networks and effectively leverage firm resources. Create an efficient workflow, and translate overall direction into clear roles and responsibilities. Proactively attract, develop, and retain top talent.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $275000 and $275000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements
Requires a Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years of experience as an Associate, Senior Accountant, or a related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field plus 5 years of experience as an Associate, Senior Accountant, or a related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience with: analyzing, advising, developing, and executing strategic investment banking transactions; acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, spin-offs, exchange offers, leveraged buyouts, and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts; working with multi-national corporate clients in a consumer retail sector; development of dynamic financial models and day-to-day deal processes; Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and market-based software solutions including Bloomberg, Capital IQ, MergerMarket, Factiva, and ThomsonOne.
