Perform a variety of duties, including applying analytical skills to research, review, analyze, and process lengthy arbitrator applications and complex arbitrator updates, ensuring that the neutrals’ profiles are accurate and complete.
Prioritize work and handle routine matters independently and complex matters under close supervision. Exercise critical and independent judgment in executing all functions. Exercise professional responsibility to ensure all assignments and tasks are tracked and completed.
Essential Job Functions:
- Organize and complete assigned applications within department metrics.
- Perform due diligence on arbitrator applicants including performing background checks, internet searches, CRD searches, and investigation of professional licenses.
- Recognize discrepancies in application and related submissions and resolve omissions and inconsistencies.
- Document all relevant aspects of the application process in MATRICS.
- Analyze accurately and completely process requested changes to disclosures on Arbitrator Disclosure Reports.
- Review daily Enterprise Alert reports and research CRD to determine if any new information must be added to arbitrators’ profiles.
- Communicate with arbitrators to ensure that disclosures are modified and/or added correctly.
- Document all relevant aspects of the update process in MATRICS notes.
- Electronically communicate changes to the parties and representatives on the arbitrators’ assigned cases. Because of the instantaneous nature of the communication and the inherent risk associated with arbitrator updates, must complete updates with the highest level of accuracy.
- Recognize common classification and disqualification criteria questions and escalate as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external constituents regarding a wide range of topics including assistance with the Dispute Resolution Portal.
- Participate in special department projects as needed.
- Serve as backup for department functions relating to Arbitration Awards Online including posting awards to the externally facing database.
- Cross-train on application and update job functions to enable the department to respond to fluctuating work volumes.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Excellent organizational ability, interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills required.

- Work is normally performed in an office environment. Occasional travel may be required.
