Purpose and Job Summary
Lument provides comprehensive capital solutions for multifamily, affordable, seniors and healthcare real estate. This includes a full suite of financing and strategic solutions such as investment banking, mortgage banking, private equity, a variety of direct balance sheet lending options, investment sales, and mergers and acquisitions. The Debt Capital Markets group is seeking an Associate to contribute to the growth of the business, focusing on all CRE asset classes and partnering with a wide variety of capital providers. The Associate will be an integral part of the team, responsible for a variety of analyses related to new and existing investments. Additionally, will assist with communication between /with borrowers and capital partners.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Reviews and analyzes potential loan transaction packages for preliminary qualification.
Prepares lender submission packages for deal placement.
Prepares quotes and application packages.
Meets potential Borrowers and inspects properties for requested financing as needed.
Attends professional functions and/or social networking events as deemed necessary to promote the company brand.
Provides credible recommendations to supervisors and senior management based on market research and analysis.
Learn basic sales and marketing strategies to implement through several different environments of business development and sales.
Logs and maintains all transactions in the proprietary database in a timely and organized manner.
Perform extensive financial analysis based on current and historical property cash flow, as well as various market(s) research and analysis.
Assists originator throughout the due diligence process by gathering required property and credit documents and updating the underwriting workbook with rent rolls, portfolio comps and real estate schedules.
Demonstrate excellent client relations skills.
Work professional and harmoniously with team and coworkers
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Contacts
This position has frequent contact with all levels of employees and management. In addition, this role interacts with outside business partners, vendors, consultants, and other office visitors.
Education, Skills & Experience
Required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
Minimum of 1-3 year of experience in commercial real estate.
Strong proficiency with MS-Excel, word, Argus, and other computer programs as needed.
