Overview
The Investment team, a single team across both preferred equity and credit investments, is responsible for the origination, execution and monitoring of investments across North America and Western Europe. The team consists of more than 30 investment professionals across New York, San Francisco and London.
Working with investment professionals, the Investment Associate will be involved in originating, underwriting, executing, and monitoring investments across both preferred equity and NAV loan transactions. Associates are responsible for due diligence, analysis and developing an independent view of each investment. There are opportunities to work on both US and European transactions as required.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Building complex financial models used to evaluate investment opportunities, including cash flow structuring related to funds, GP management companies and LP portfolios
- Preparing and presenting investment memoranda for senior team members;
- Preparing potential transaction summary analysis and providing recommendations;
- Supporting transaction origination efforts, deal structuring, due diligence and negotiation processes;
- Working with cross functional teams to contribute to the counterparty and portfolio due diligence processes, transaction execution and post-closing monitoring processes

Requirements
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
Knowledge & Experience Required:
- Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, private firm or similar setting with exposure to a wide range of transactions, and/or equivalent experience;
- Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills, with strong attention to detail;
- Familiarity with structuring and execution of leveraged buyouts
- Experience with due diligence process and analysis
- High degree of proactivity and ability to produce high-quality work with limited supervision;
- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative working relationships across the organization;
- Ability to manage workflows in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Can demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $140k – $180k. Salaries may vary based on factors, such as skills, experience, and qualifications for the role, as determined by the Company at its sole discretion. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation.
