You will be part of the GRAO (Global Regulatory Affairs Office), primarily supporting Risk and Control Enhancements (RCE) program with a focus on Data and Technology and EUC Oversight/Remediation. You will be working with leaders in Technology, Data, ERM, Compliance, Liquidity, and other corporate functions to deliver at-scale change in our risk, reporting, and resiliency capabilities. In your role, you will support NT’s strategic resiliency agenda through the development of governance, risk, and compliance technology and data providing thought leadership in defining and structuring our data and technology enablement.
As a Lead, you will ensure that one or more complex programs within RCE has coverage for embedded Data and Technology enablement, oversight and challenge, and you may provide leadership to other team members.
The ideal candidate will have experience with EUC remediation and execution of data and technology projects as well as change initiatives, working effectively with cross-functional teams and facilitating alignment between business, risk, and technology stakeholders across the organization. The ideal candidate would also understand the systems and data required for managing Risk and/or Remediation at a large financial organization.
This role will establish, maintain, and communicate the Risk & Control Data, Analytics, and Technology strategy and roadmap while ensuring that both business and regulatory requirements are met for the designated programs. This would be a seasoned multi-disciplinary person with extensive technical and business knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Establish strategy and execute against EUC oversight and remediation capabilities
- Face off to designated RCE program(s) for all Data and Tech planning and execution activities across the entire commitment lifecycle
- Ensure that each Data and/or Tech commitment is appropriately reflected in the individual programs and the Data and Technology plan, with consistency of timing, ownership of deliverables, and scope of work
- Ensure that related work outside of RCE plan is consistently aligned with objectives of the RCE program
- Ensure appropriate compensating controls and measures related to the scope of the RCE program
- Proactively enable and oversee Check and Challenge process for all Data and Tech commitments related to RCE and broader Regulatory-related issues management, in close partnership with GRAO Strategic Remediation Oversight Group (SROG). Part of the review includes scope, target state, success criteria. Ensure that underlying root causes are addressed in sustainable programs and bodies of work, and embedded in a broader strategic vision
- Support all oversight processes for Data, Technology, and Cyber programs aligned with central GRAO teams (SROG and PMO)
- Lead and/or support planning and change control processes for RCE related to Technology and Data work embedded in individual RCE programs
- Partner closely with GRC product owner to ensure ERM, Resiliency, ORM, Cyber, Compliance requirements are fully incorporated and support our Data and Technology strategy
- Ensure business requirements and dependencies management across all plans related to Data and Technology work
- Establish and monitor all success and data quality metrics
- Promptly escalate any issues on program structure, scope, or execution
- Ensure sustainability of program commitments by appropriate change management and embedding controls
- Provide credible challenge for all aspects of the PMO processes, including and not limited to: RAG ratings, KPIs, status updates, path to green, adherence to dates and deliverables, and quality of deliverables
- Identify and escalate program resource constraints (e.g., program management, SMEs, technology, data) in collaboration with Program leads and provide staffing support as needed for major initiatives to augment embedded staff as needed, and potentially deploying central acceleration teams
- Support as needed special Remediation Analysis and Projects related to GRAO Data and/or Technology
- Define and proactively manage a strategic backlog that addresses stakeholder needs across three lines of defense in order of priority
- Support the adoption of data quality and data governance procedures around the solutions.
- Partners to drive adoption of new selected technologies into standard support models and systems.
Required
- Experience working as a self-directed contributor as well as a lead to meet complex business objectives in a highly matrixed environment
- Substantial broad experience in technology and data, including large transformation programs with focus on risk management and/or remediation
- Specific subject matter expertise in one or more of the following domains: enterprise risk management, GRC, compliance, risk and controls, operational risk, operational resiliency, liquidity
- Understanding of key banking regulations
- Well-developed listening skills
- Articulate and effective communicator
- Strong interpersonal skills, and proficient with complex stakeholder management with senior stakeholders
- Ability to influence positive outcome without direct functional control
- “No surprise: approach in communicating issues and requests
- Strong Leadership skills with proven track record of delivering positive and sustainable change
- Knowledge of general risk, compliance and governance concepts and methods such as policy management, risk assessments, control testing etc.
- Understanding of data and technology needs to support regulatory expectations
- Bachelor's and/or master's degree in business, operations, data, or technology
Preferred Or Nice To Have Specific Skills:
- Good understanding of the SDLC and Agile Scrum methodologies to deliver solutions
- Information Security, Risk Management, and Project Management credentials
- Line 2, Line 3, Line 1.5 experience with focus on Technology or Audit or Quality Assurance
- Understanding and experience with BCBS 239
- Remediation with focus on Technology and Data in a GSIB
Base Pay Salary Range:
$150,000 - $250,000
